So here are my go-to items you simply have to have, that will look great in every home. I've included my dream splurge buys and some budget-friendly options too, as beautiful interiors needn't always cost the earth.
A Timeless Vase
Go for classic clear glass which will suit any room/colour scheme - style with a candle or two to create a simple yet beautiful centrepiece.
Pretty Photo Frames
I've slowly been trying to replace all the cheap photo frames I've got around the house, as they're starting to look a bit worse for wear. Spend that little bit extra and invest in beautiful frames that will look amazing in any room.
Fancy Candle
A gorgeous smelling candle can create an atmosphere in any room - and lets face it, if its an expensive one you only have to burn it on special occasions (or after the dog has had an 'accident' on your new rug...)
Luxury Cushions
Go for a couple of neutral or plain coloured cushions on your sofa as a base, mixing up materials such as velvet, faux fur, and linen to add interest.
Add some texture with a blanket over the sofa, or even thrown over a basket to hide all toys/magazines/general junk you don't want on show. Again going for a neutral or plain colour will mean you can move it from room to room, however choose a bold pattern or shade to create a statement piece.
Perfect for storing bits and bobs all over your home - belly baskets are huge right now, and look especially fab styled with a plant in.
Which bits in your home are classic items you'll keep forever?
Thanks for reading,
Sam Xx
