I always go for a gold and white colour scheme in my home, but there’s so many lovely bits to choose from, I’ve split them up into different themes, making it easy to find something depending on what look you’re going for this year. And even better, everything is just £20 or less.
If you're new around here, I write a post like this every season - in my 'update your home for £20' series. So without further ado, here's my high street picks for the best budget-friendly decorations this Christmas - and there's over 100 to choose from, so hopefully something for everyone.
White & Gold decorations
Starting with always my favourite scheme, how many beautiful bits are there to choose from here?! If you want to go for a more neutral theme, there’s lots of choice here too - from that beautiful candlestick holder, which would look perfect on your Christmassy mantelpiece, to a gorgeous wicker tree skirt, which will tie the whole look together. If sparkly gold is more your thing though, pop some glittery baubles on your tree and adorn your table with a beautiful festive smelling candle.

Silver decorations
If you’re going for a silver theme, there’s lots of beautiful bits to choose from here. Add some Christmassy sparkle with that glitter snow globe, and transform your Christmas Day table with some new tablemats and plates. Finally, how can you resist that penguin doorstop?! Adorable.

Red decorations
Red decorations always loo so traditional, and have the benefit of adding some warmth to the room too. Add a festive touch to your sofa with a new cushion or two, and count down to the big day with an advent candle. Create a seasonal display from the red eucalyptus stems, and how beautiful is that bauble filled with dried flowers too?

Green decorations
Such a beautiful collection of greenery here, choose from a mini Christmas tree to brighten up your windowsill, or a wreath to adorn your door. A good thing about these too is they can be brought out year after year. I couldn’t not mention those beautiful cushions too - how cute is the fox? The plain green one would look great all year around. Finally, how gorgeous is that jug? Would be perfect to serve your Christmas Day custard in, or just to display some festive stems of winterberries.
