#dovecottagemyfaveroom: Emily's Lounge/Diner

Each Friday on the blog it's all about the beautiful homes I'm inspired by in my feature 'My Fave Room'. If you'd like to enter upload a photo over on Instagram of your favourite room in your home, using the #dovecottagemyfaveroom, and I'll be focusing on one each week. So without further ado, here's this week's room - the lovely Emily's (@myscottishgreyhome) stunning lounge/diner ...

True to her Instagram name, Emily (like me), is a big fan of grey - as you can see from her beautiful lounge! I love that she's used lots of different tones and textures to create a luxurious feel - I mean look at that pom pom throw of dreams!

You can really see what a lovely area this is from this shot, and how Emily has made the most of this space, without over-styling - I love the simplicity of the clock on the wall. 

How beautiful is that marble coffee table, perfectly topped off with those books?! I love a corner sofa too, such a great space-saving idea, and lets face it - doesn't that corner look like the ideal place for an afternoon nap?! 

The pops of pink here really finish this space off perfectly - I love the fact that Emily hasn't chosen matching cushions either, which I must admit isn't something I'd thought of doing before, but I absolutely love the way it looks here. You can't go wrong with a perfectly styled shelf either, and the bits Emily has chosen to display complement each other just right - adding items of different heights can add interest, whilst the little additions of pink tie the look together.
