This week I'm looking the beautiful wallpaper you've used to style your homes. I'm a huge fan of a stylish wallpaper feature wall, so have loved having a nose at all of yours! Thanks so much to everyone who shared their pictures over on Instagram this week using the hashtag #DoveCottageFridayFaves - it's a bit of a bumper edition today as I received so many pictures! I've featured some of my favourites here...
1. First up this week is @ourprettyhome who tagged this lovely picture of her beautiful wallpaper. Love how she's matched her vase and card to it too! The beautiful bright flowers and the colours in this picture make me think of spring, can't wait for the warmer weather already...
2. How stylish is @mrs.jazmine.ross's lounge?! I love this wallpaper - its little rabbits! I'm also in love with the colour scheme she's gone for in here too, and how everything complements each other. Styled to perfection! Plus, totally un-related, but doesn't that sofa look perfect for an afternoon nap?! (I always spot the important things!)
3. Next up is this beautiful photo from @little_wrens_nest - how glam is this room?! I love that all her accessories complement that lovely gold/champagne wallpaper, including that beautiful gallery on the opposite wall. Also look at that gorgeous chandelier!
4. How neat and tidy is @at_home_with_the_bucknalls' hallway?! Not a stray shoe in sight! I love how Amy's chosen to continue that gorgeous grey from her stylish wallpaper onto the other walls, and how wonderful is that gallery wall?! What a welcoming entrance to a home!
5. Next up is @emma.jane.quinn's beautiful and homely seating area. As a huge fan of vintage/shabby chic style, I absolutely love this wallpaper the second I saw this photo! Looks perfect in here, especially as Emma's continued on the theme with the bunting. What a bright and airy room too - must be a lovely place to eat dinner all together.
6. Sonja (@soboid) mentioned that she's given this room an 'Alice in Wonderland' theme - what a wonderful idea! The wallpaper is perfecet for this theme, and I absolutely love her wall dresser too. The perfect place is hold a mad hatter tea party!
7. @laurastrath has got such a beautiful home, which you can definitley see here. I love the idea of brick-effect wallpaper, it adds so much character, and seems to look nice in any home. The shelves here are styled perfectly too, and how cosy does this area look?! Bet she loves snuggling up here in the evenings.
8. Next up is this beautiful picture from Danielle (@isla_and_boris) - I love the colour of this wallpaper, I think grey always looks good in the lounge. This is such a cosy space too, I'd love to have a fireplace like this - and it looks so good filled with candles. Also you can't go wrong with a lightbox can you?!
9. Using wallpaper as a feature wall in a bedroom always looks great I think, and @gem.rose_x's room is a great example of this - how snuggly does her bed look?! Love the colour scheme Gem's gone for in here too, and look at that gorgeous headboard!
10. Next up is this beautiful picture from @somewhereovertherainbow888 - what a gorgeous colour wallpaper, and I love that she's matched her coasters too! Plus how beautiful is this bauble, how stunning. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely photo, Michelle.
11. This last one is something a bit different - this amazingly creative bookcase makeover from @thecrazyspringerlady - how cool is this?! I'm a huge fan of upcycling and turning something old into something beautiful, so I absolutely love what Claire has done here! The wallpaper backing and lick a paint have given this a completely new lease of life - what an amazing idea! I love how she's styled the shelves too - so pretty!
Hope this has provided you with some inspiration should you be thinking about giving some of the walls in your home a bit of a facelift.
Next Friday I'll be looking at shelves! So don't forget to hashtag helfies showing your styled bookcases/shelves over on Instagram with the hashtag #DoveCottageFridayFaves, and I'll feature some of my favourites next week!
Thanks for reading,
Sam Xx
