When we moved into our home, I knew I wanted to turn the rather unloved Barbie-pink spare room into a calming, feminine guest room. Seeing as this is the only real space in the house just for me, I really went for a feminine rose pink/grey theme, adding hints of gold here and there. It's taken a long time to get 'just right', however I'm finally there (I think!) - so thought now would be a good time to reveal the full room in a bit of a room tour.
First off we painted the walls in Dulux White Cotton, the same as our lounge, and used Laura Ashley Abeville wallpaper to create a feature wall.
My dressing table from Next fitted here perfectly, and I've styled it with a Laura Ashley lamp, a storage box from Cath Kidston (which is home to nail varnishes etc.), a light-up 'S' from The White Bulb, and some prints from Desenio.
The bed is from Argos would you believe, with Primark bedding and throw, and some cushions from Dunelm and Debenhams. Above the bed I've hung some paper pom poms from Hobbycraft, and these beautiful fabric hearts which Annie & Wilf on Instagram made me. The 'Be Happy, Be Bright, Be You' print (which is a good reminder first thing in the morning when I stagger in here to get ready for work!) is from Blossom and Co.
Artificial flowers are all from The Range, and the ceramic 'Always kiss me goodnight' heart is from Next.
Thanks for reading,
Sam Xx
