It could just be down to nesting hitting me hard, but the title says it all really - is it just me or do other people go through stages of loving the way you've styled your home, and feeling fed up with everything in it? But while ripping everything out and starting again would be a bit extreme (and definitely giving my husband grounds for divorce), there are less drastic things you can do - so I thought I'd share my plans for some small tweaks to freshen things up a bit.
Lounge
The good thing about being a fan of neutral decor means that if you get bored or fancy a change you can easily add some colour to a room to spice things up.
Ideally I'd love some new sofas in our lounge, however for now I'm thinking some new cushions will freshen them up enough. I've recently fallen in love with Peony & Sage fabric (I'm quite late to the party, I know!), and would love to have a go at making some cushions in some of their country inspired fabrics. How cute is their Busy Bees pattern?

Our bedroom was one of the first rooms we redecorated when we first moved into our house, and being on quite a tight budget, so I made the lampshades either side of our bed using a cheap lampshade and bit of grey ribbon.
A couple of years on and I feel they need a bit of a refresh. I've seen these gorgeous rustic lamps from The Farthing which would look fab here. I'm also thinking of updating our bedside tables too, perhaps with a lick of paint and some new handles.

Bathroom
This is totally me jumping on the eucalyptus bandwagon that's everywhere at the mo, but I'm desperate to add a bit of life to my bathroom. I've been on the lookout for some artificial greenery similar to the stems below from Brissi, which I know would be perfect for our bathroom. However I'd also love a go at drying some real eucalyptus too - any tips on how to do this though would be much appreciated!

Conservatory/Outdoors
I've also been wanting to add some greenery out in our conservatory for a while, and am on the lookout for a large fern or houseplant to bring some nature indoors ahead of the summer.

I've also got my eye on some cactuses to create a display for our outdoor table and chairs - which, once the brighter weather makes an appearance, I will be giving a lick of paint to.
There's SO many other bits and pieces I want to update too (namely the entire kitchen!) - but with a baby now just days away from making its big arrival, I think this will have to do for now!
What are your tips for giving your home a quick and cheap refresh?
