Reader’s Homes: Jacqui's Kitchen

Recently I've been sharing some beautiful reader's homes I'm inspired by in my feature 'My Fave Room', and I'm so excited to share a real knockout of a house this week. So without further ado, here's this week's room - Jacqui (@home_is_hillcrest)'s absolute stunner of a kitchen...

This is some serious dream kitchen goals right here, I mean have you ever seen anything so beautiful?! Jacqui extended her home last year to create this absolutely amazing open plan space, and hasn't she done a wonderful job?! 

I absolutely love the fact that she's gone for contrasting worktops on the island and units (solid oak and Carrara marble) and the different colours for the units (Farrow & Ball's Manor House Grey and Downpipe) highlight this perfectly.

How amazing does this look as a feature - proving you don't need a chimney in your home to create a stunning focal point. How perfect are those little cupboards for space saving too? I also love the fact that Jacqui has resisted putting shelving here, which may have made this space feel slightly cluttered, instead going for some cool prints. 

A clever combination of spotlights, those gorgeous pendant lights and large roof windows mean this room feels light and airy as well as cosy. Can't you just imagine sitting at the island flicking through the Sunday papers with a cuppa?

You can see exactly how massive this space is here - I'd love to have more of an open plan home one day, and think it must be wonderful to have such a large kitchen/diner/living space all in one area.

Finally it wouldn't be a dream kitchen without bi-fold doors, would it?! You can just imagine having those open on a warm summer evening can't you? What a wonderful family space this room must have become for Jacqui - bet she's over the moon with it!
