If you’ve visited my blog before you’ll know I’m a big fan of switching up my interiors for the changing seasons, always on a tight budget of course. I’ve shared some of my previous Easter and Christmas tablescapes, however things look a little different in our dining room this year, so I’ve been excited about styling this space.
To catch you up: we recently switched our too large eight-seater dining table to a much smaller round one.

The larger table was far too big for our space, taking over the conservatory, meaning we didn’t actually use this room other than for eating. We only occasionally have guests for dinner, so decided a much better use of the space would be a smaller, extendable table.

As much as I love all the new floor space - there’s finally room for some comfy seating! - I do however, find it tough to style a round dining table. When searching for inspiration online and in magazines you’re usually met with images of large, expansive dining tables set for six to eight people.
So I’ve had a go at styling my dining table to show that with a few simple budget decorations, even the smallest table can be Spring-ready in just a few moments! Not only that, but everything I’ve used cost under £10.
I’ve started with a linen-feel table runner from Dunelm. I find round tablecloths are hard to come by, so love using a runner to add some colour without covering the whole table. On top of that I’ve popped some artificial (plus some real!) flowers.
I’ve complimented the centrepiece with some beautiful striped napkins I found for just £4 for a set of four, again in Dunelm. The beautiful yellow shade is perfect for Spring and I’ve finished this look off with some napkin rings I found in H&M.
What do you think? Do you like to style your dining table for different seasons?
Thanks for reading,
Sam Xx
