Who says decorating up is just for Christmas?! It really is any excuse in my house, so today I thought I'd share with you how I put together my homemade Easter wreath.
You will need:
- Wreath (I got mine from Hobbycraft)
- Eggs (also Hobbycraft)
- Fabric flower heads (Mine were again from Hobbycraft, however I can't seem to find them on there anymore)
- Leaf vine
- Double sided sticky tape
- Ribbon - I used some old ribbon I had laying around, however you can buy something similar from Hobbycraft
The fun thing about this is that you can put this together however you like, using whatever materials you want, but this is how I made mine:
1. Push the eggs between the twines of the wreath, in whichever pattern you like, I put them fairly symmetrically around the circle
2. Stick the flower heads around the wreath too, I found that double sided sticky tape worked much better than PVA glue here, however if you have something like a glue gun that might be better
3. Wrap the vine in and out around the whole wreath, it contains a wire so is easy to shape however you want to
4. Wrap a length of ribbon around the top of the wreath, and tie a knot to secure it. Then with the two loose ends tie another knot to create a loop from which you will hang it
5. Tie a bow around the top of the wreath using the rest of the ribbon - and you're all done!
