If you’ve ever read my blog before, you’ll know that over the last couple of years I’ve been on a mission to get our small home as organised and clutter-free as it can be.
I've been decluttering and tidying every corner of the house, as to be honest lots of mess can make me feel on edge. Tidy space equals tidy mind after all.
One of the spaces that is easy to overlook though, is under the kitchen sink. Not going to lie, even though this is a new kitchen, and we planned as much clever storage in here as we could, I still find it hard to keep this cupboard organised. It can get messy under there super quickly, and it’s so tempting to just chuck the dustpan and brush inside and shut the door.

However, I’ve found a few storage solutions recently which have not only saved space in my small kitchen, but have also allowed me to organise all my cleaning products better.
So read on for some tips on maximising space, and keeping the cupboard under your kitchen sink tidy and mess-free.

Back of the cupboard door
It's a space that can be easily overlooked, but you can make the most of every inch of space by using the back of your cupboard doors.
I’ve used command hooks* (one of my go-to solutions!) to hang my dustpan and brush, scrubbing brushes and duster. These hooks are really easy to remove, so rental friendly too!
Laundry items
I store all my laundry detergents, dishwasher tablets and other items like dishwasher salt in these glass lidded jars. I love using these as it means I can easily see how much of everything I’ve got left without pulling about in packets.
I also keep my window and glass cleaner in this glass spray bottle, for no other reason than I liked the way it matched the glass jars, to be honest. This bottle one is from The Range*, and is a really great price as under £2.
Cleaning supplies
Other items like sponges, dusters, scouters etc are stored in these stacked transparent boxes, again making everything really easy to find quickly. These were another bargain B&M find, however these stackable storage tubs from Amazon* are really similar.
I'm a huge fan of this simple storage solution, and currently use turntables on the top shelf of my wall cupboards too - they make things easy to reach for a short person like me!

I found these jars a year or so ago in B&M, however a lot of homeware stores seem to sell these at the moment - these ones from Amazon*, for example, look really similar.

The other side of this cupboard extends quite far back round the corner, meaning its not as easy to access.
To make the most of this awkward space I’ve used a turntable storage tray to hold my remaining cleaning products. This one is really budget-friendly (under £3!) from The Range, however most household stores will sell similar items.
