A-Z of buying your first home

A-Z of technical terms and jargon when buying your first home

Buying your first home can be a very exciting, but sometimes an overwhelming experience. When me and my husband were in the process of buying our home, I found I had to learn lots of complicated jargon and technical processes very quickly, so thought it might be helpful to put together a quick A-Z guide to buying a house, including everything first time buyers need to know when in the process of getting the keys to their first place.

Update your home for Spring for £15 or less

I'm a huge fan of changing things about in my home and tweaking the interiors with the changing seasons (I've previously blogged about updating my home for Autumn, Winter and Valentine's Day), and love a mini-redecoration once the warmer weather is on its way.

Recipe: Turkey Burgers with Spiralized Vegetables

*This is a collaborative post*

It's that time of year when everyone seems to be on a bit of a health kick, but if you're anything like me, healthy meals aren't always the most appetising - especially during the cold weather when you just want to binge on stodge.

My journey to becoming a homeowner

Keys

Like many young people my age, becoming a homeowner is unfortunately no longer a given. In past generations it seemed the be the norm to be able buy a property as soon as you left home, however nowadays the road to your first home isn't always quite so easy, so I thought it might be nice to share with you my journey to becoming a first-time buyer.

My Gender Neutral Nursery Plans

I'm not going to lie, one of the first things I thought of on discovering I was expecting a baby was getting stuck into designing the nursery! So now that we've only got a few months to go before the big arrival, its finally time to start thinking about putting my ideas into action.

Why Monica's apartment on Friends was eclectic style goals

Monica's apartment on Friends
All images used in this post are from www.screencapped.net

I make absolutely no secret of the fact that I am a complete Friends fanatic. I still watch the repeats all the time, and pride myself on the fact that I don't even need to be in the room to can tell what episode is on (not that these are things to be proud of, really!). So, as a lover of all things interior, it hasn't gone unnoticed that Monica's apartment was pretty cool. Despite being over twenty years since we first got a glimpse of her iconic purple-hued home, it still feels fresh, so I thought I'd celebrate its timeless eclectic design (the 90's are back, after all) - and share how you could inject a little bit of Gellar style into your own home.
